The Montage Hotel and Resort Group of Irvine, CA, is developing Montage Cay (formally Matt Lowe’s Cay), visiting guests will be able to enjoy resort offerings.
In conjunction with Sterling Global Financial out of Toronto and Nassau, Montage is planning private Sea of Abaco waterfront residences with lot sizes averaging half an acre, and building sites set for 3,800 – 7,000 sq. ft. estates in the two- to six-bedroom range.
Development will be limited to about 50 homes to ensure privacy and comfort. Houses will highlight seamless indoor- outdoor living, with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and oversized windows. Outside, pools, terraces and landscaped gardens will complement the natural beauty of the sea and beaches.
But local folks might be more interested in the hotel, spa, sports and fine dining that will accompany those villas and estates.
The all-suite Montage hotel will feature dining venues, a 24-hour concierge and renowned Montage personal services. Resort pools and a spa are opening with the hotel, and will be available for Abacos residents and visiting guests to enjoy.
So, too, will be the collection of unique restaurant and bar experiences. The island will boast all-day dining options, plus a signature, dinner-only restaurant. Two beach bar-and-grills and pool bars will service sun-seekers, while a café and juice bar will refresh visitors being pampered in the Montage spa.
The spa will feature private treatment rooms and services inspired by nature, using elements meant to resonate with a sense of place. Other activities will include strength training classes, a movement and yoga studio, tennis and pickleball courts.
Kids ages five to twelve can participate in the Montage Paintbox, and spend thematically planned days built around a linked program of games, arts and crafts and creative indoor and outdoor experiences.
The resort will also include a deepwater marina with 46 slips and dockage space for sale.
Designed to emphasize comfortable elegance, Montage Cay will be a welcome—and welcoming—addition to the Abacos community.
