For Immediate Release
Bliss Coffee House is officially open in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas.
What was formerly known as the Java Coffee House and owned by Arthur and Kim Sands has been sold to Leanne Russell and Claire Basden and transformed into the Bliss Coffee House. Da Bes Yet Bakery #2, also owned by Claire Basden, will be supplying the goods. Claire, the owner of the Your Finance accounting firm and Leanne Russell, who is an artist by trade, are fulfilling their combined dream in opening the Bliss Coffee House. Their mission is to create an exciting venue that offers art events, talks, and music as well as a hip coffee shop atmosphere with delicious coffee, teas, pastries and light fare.
Leanne Russell is a renowned artist whose achievements include being commissioned by the Princess Margaret Hospital as well as displaying her work at the Burns House, National Art Gallery of the Bahamas and the Baha Mar Development. Leanne is also very focused on her initiative to bring local Abaconian artists into the spotlight. Leanne sees the possibility for gallery openings by young Abaconian artists at the newly opened Bliss Coffee House as a great way to showcase the local artistic talent. Her passion for showcasing the artists of the Abacos is vital to the energy of the Bliss Coffee House.
Claire Basden’s background in accounting means she is well prepared for the rigors of running a small business. She is passionate about this project, and knows that her focus on the bottom line will help keep the Bliss Coffee House vision on track.
Claire worked at Winding Bay for 10 years. Claire’s love for coffee and her family‘s background of entrepreneurs gave her the courage to pursue her own dream of owning a coffee shop. When the opportunity came she seized it.
Stop in and congratulate the girls. Claire and Leanne have transitioned buying Java and turning it into their coffee shop, the Bliss, giving a sense of what is to come in the bright future of the Bliss Coffee House!
